KIMONO (KITSUKE) Workshop: Dressing, Wearing, Preserving Immerse yourself in the rich tradition of Kimono Kitsuke and experience a newfound appreciation for this timeless art form. In this workshop you will learn to dress yourself, care for your kimono, comport yourself in kimono, whisk matcha, and formally receive tea and sweets.
The two and a half hour classes are held in the EWCC tearooms on the 2nd floor of the East Building of the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Washington (JCCCW).

You will need to provide your own kimono, obi, and undergarments. JCCCW’s Hosekibako Resale Store located below EWCC on the 1st floor of the East Building has many kimono items for sale. It is open Thursday-Sunday, 10:00AM to 3:00PM. Enter the store and EWCC through the green door in the alley on the north side of the East Building.
