Student Voices: A Journey in Chanoyu
At the East-West Chanoyu Center, our students experience more than just learning the art of tea—they embark on a journey of personal growth, cultural connection, and deep appreciation for tradition.
Here’s what one of our students, ML, shared:
"This past year studying with East West Chanoyu Center has been rewarding on a level I never would have guessed when I signed up for the four week intro series almost two years ago.
I wanted to end the year saying that I deeply appreciate the love and care you bring to the chashitsu and for your students. It's a privilege to learn from each of you and get to know you. I can only hope that one day I'm able to bring the same care and knowledge that you bring."
We sincerely appreciate the generous support of King County 4Culture in ‘Building for Equity’ funding for the tearoom construction, as well as ‘Arts Sustained’ support for programs throughout the year.
